Kids & Family Witch Hat Decorating Class

A Little Halloween Magic Is Waiting

What happens when you give a child a witch hat, flowers, imagination, and permission to create whatever feels magical to them?

Something completely their own.

Join Riverside Gypsy on the historic stage at The Mariner for a playful Kids & Family Witch Hat Decorating Class designed around creativity, imagination, and Halloween fun.

Every registered decorator begins with their own witch hat.

Then the transformation begins.

Choose flowers, play with placement, mix textures, explore different ideas, and turn an ordinary hat into a magical Halloween creation to wear home.

There is no “right” witch hat.

Spooky.

Pretty.

Colorful.

Wild.

Whimsical.

Every hat can tell a different story.

Want to make it even more magical?

Optional crystals, specialty objects, and additional embellishments will be available for purchase during the class.

Kids can decide what speaks to their imagination and personalize their hat even further.

Parents & Guardians

This event is open to all ages.

Adults accompanying children do not need to purchase a ticket unless they would also like to decorate their own witch hat.

If you want to create alongside your child, simply reserve a ticket for yourself too.

Make It a Fall Day in Marine City

If you live nearby, make this a family Halloween outing.

If you are coming from Metro Detroit, the southern Thumb, St. Clair County, or spending time near Algonac State Park, make Marine City part of your fall adventure.

Explore downtown.

Watch the freighters on the St. Clair River.

Grab dinner or treats.

Visit the unique shops.

Then step onto the historic stage at The Mariner and create something magical together.

Marine City already has that Hallmark movie kind of town feeling.

In October, we simply add a little witchcraft.
